A Pepeuf dress
on the red carpet.
Worn on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival in 2025, this paperNAT by Pepeuf dress is now continuing its journey through exhibitions, signatures from public figures and a charity auction planned for autumn 2026 in support of A Tree for You.
The 2025 dress is the first piece in the Pepeuf Cannes Edition cycle.
Designed by Tania Zekkout using paperNAT by Pepeuf made from sugarcane bagasse, the dress was worn on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025.
After Cannes, the piece began a second life: exhibitions, public appearances, signatures and media coverage. Its purpose is now clear: to become a charity auction object, with the full proceeds donated to A Tree for You.
A couture object,
conceived as a manifesto.
The dress brings together fashion, material innovation, cultural visibility and ecological engagement. It is not a reproduced product. It is the inaugural object of an annual ritual: one dress, one red carpet appearance, one year of signatures, one charity auction.
From the red carpet
to the auction catalogue.
The value of the piece is built through a clear sequence: its creation, its first public appearance in Cannes, its exhibitions, its signatures and its charity auction.
Created for Cannes
The dress was created by Atelier Tania Zekkout using paperNAT by Pepeuf made from sugarcane bagasse. It is the first dress in the Pepeuf Cannes Edition cycle.
Worn on the red carpet
It appeared on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025, accompanied by AguadeOro jewellery, then was presented at the Grand Palais during the ChangeNOW 2026 summit.
Signed before auction
The dress is now gathering signatures from personalities connected to exploration, cinema, sport and the arts before its planned auction in autumn 2026.
A growing provenance.
Each signature is conceived as a trace added to the object, not as decoration. The goal is to build a coherent, documented community around the dress before the auction catalogue is finalised.
The list continues to grow. The complete and documented list of signatories will appear in the auction catalogue.
An annual ritual:
one dress, one year, one auction.
Pepeuf Cannes Edition is conceived as a recurring cultural and charitable cycle. Each year, a new paper dress appears on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival. The previous dress then continues its journey, gathers signatures and builds provenance before being sold at auction in support of reforestation.
The second dress begins its own cycle.
For the second edition of the project, Tania Zekkout designs a new paper dress in continuity with the creative gesture inaugurated in 2025. The new piece will be worn by actress Éloïse Valli on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival on 16 May 2026.
This 2026 dress is not the auction object presented above. It is the beginning of the next chapter. Its own itinerary, signatures and auction process will follow over the months to come.
